Massachusetts Department of Public Health

More than 8,000 people in Massachusetts die each year from smoking – that’s one person every hour of every day. Since 1994, GEOVISION has partnered with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health to create EMMY award-winning campaigns for its world-renowned Tobacco Education Media Campaign. Our particular emphasis has been on messages for Latino, African-American and Portuguese-speaking communities. Key issues we’ve dealt with include secondhand smoke, smoking cessation, smoking consequences and industry practices. Our campaigns have targeted youth and adults.
