MARIA O’MEARA
Copywriter

Maria O’Meara has worked as a consultant forĀ GEOVISION for over ten years developing creative concepts and copy for Sesame Street, corporate clients and social marketing campaigns.

She recently wrote the lyrics for the Act FAST! stroke awareness public service announcement as well as copywriting the Act FAST! collateral material. She has also written for numerous campaigns for the Bureau of Substance Abuse Services including the Oxycontin awareness campaign.

For museums and publishers, Maria has scripted interactive games and big screen films on an array of topics including the origins of life on earth, the Miocene Epoch, the birth of stars, the history of technology in New England and the development of sonar. Museum clients include the California Science Center in Los Angeles, the Philadelphia Zoo, the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia and the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston.

While at D.C. Heath, a textbook publisher, Maria was the head writer for a series of immersive multimedia programs focused on natural history including the Everglades and the Sonoran Desert.

Maria holds a B.A. in English from the University of Notre Dame and an M.S. in Broadcasting from Boston University. She lives in Brookline, Massachusetts with her three children.
